Lois Fisher: Over Forty Years of Education Experience
Lois Fisher
Lois Fisher, owner of Fisher Education, Inc., an education consulting firm, has been a full time education consultant since 1997.

Fisher Education offers an array of services including K-12 teacher training, campus-level strategic planning for instructional improvement, and classroom assistance to improve students’ scores on reading, writing, math and science as tested by Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) and State-Developed Alternative Assessment II (SDAA II).

Mrs. Fisher’s clients include K-12 public schools across Texas.  Her books prepare K-12 students for TAKS and SDAA II in math, reading, and writing.  Spanish and special education editions are available.

From 1980 to 1996, Mrs. Fisher served as training consultant to state departments of education, school districts, and corporations in seven states.  She served as an instructional supervisor for two middle schools in Fort Worth Independent School District from 1989 to 1990.  From 1990 to 1996, she served as Director of Staff Development and as TAAS Coordinator for Edgewood Independent School District in San Antonio.  Earlier in her career, she served as teacher and principal before becoming supervisor of special education for a five-county region and Assistant Superintendent for Federal Programs and Instruction and Curriculum in Arkansas public schools from 1964 to 1989. Her teaching experience included regular and special education instruction in grades K-12 and undergraduate education courses at the college level.

Mrs. Fisher has given hundreds of presentations to educational organizations and associations.  She earned an MS in elementary education at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1971 and a BS in elementary education at South Arkansas University at Magnolia in 1964.  She holds several certifications in Arkansas.  In Texas, she is certified in early childhood PK-K, elementary grades 1-6, and Mid-Management.
